I am Joe, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and an Army veteran. As your potential therapist, I approach our time together with trauma-informed care. Further, I provide an empathetic, safe, and non-judgmental environment in which we can explore distressing areas in your life together. You are the expert on yourself, and only you have experienced your life. As your potential therapist, I meet you where you are in life; I make no assumptions about your life events or ways your experiences have affected you.
My previous clinical experience includes a year spent as a clinical intern here at Sheehan Psychotherapy. During this time, I assisted adult individuals who were dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, ADHD, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ population.
Finding a therapist can be an overwhelming and intimidating experience, but here you are! I look forward to the privilege of getting to know you and assisting you through life challenges so you can experience a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
