Brittney Tennett

I graduated from Rhode Island College in 2021 with a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in behavioral neuroscience. I am a third-year student at RIC in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program and am very eager to graduate this May! My education has provided me with an immense amount of knowledge in various treatment modalities. I have clinical experience working alongside adolescents and young adults who are facing the challenges of today’s complex world. By employing Motivational Interviewing techniques, I have helped clients enhance their intrinsic motivation and guided them toward positive changes. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, therefore I recognize the importance of creating a unique experience to meet each person’s individual needs. Through my work, I aim to instill hope, foster self-awareness, and empower individuals of all ages and identities to set and achieve their goals.
