Phillip Lowry, LMHC (he/him), is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Rhode Island with more than 25 years of experience supporting adolescents, college students, and adults. He holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in counseling and has spent much of his career helping individuals navigate emotional challenges and major life transitions.

Phillip works with clients experiencing trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, men’s issues, and significant life changes. His approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns.

Known for his warm, insight-oriented style, Phillip balances thoughtful assessment with an empathetic and supportive therapeutic environment. In early sessions, he focuses on understanding a client’s symptoms and experiences while building a foundation of trust and collaboration. His goal is to help clients gain deeper insight into their challenges while developing practical strategies that support symptom reduction and long-term emotional well-being.

Phillip believes therapy is a process that involves both reflection and motivation for change. By working collaboratively with clients, he helps individuals identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and move toward healthier ways of thinking and living.

Outside of his clinical work, Phillip enjoys practicing yoga and producing music. He aims to create a calm, reflective therapy space where clients feel supported as they work toward meaningful personal growth.
