I have been in the field of helping people for many years. My first position was as an OB/GYN nurse at Women and Infants Hospital, followed by a career as a surgical/trauma nurse at Rhode Island Hospital.
Through my own personal experience I was faced with obstacles, requiring a need for change. Staying true to my desire to help others, I became a licensed master’s level therapist in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment.
I find that the people who enter my office come with many strengths. My hope is to provide a safe, supportive environment to facilitate those strengths to successfully accept change.
My field of specialty is in mood disorders, women’s issues, addictions, codependency, trauma and loss, and couples issues. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and dialectical behavior therapy, tailored to meet individual needs. Join me in this partnership on the path to finding health, happiness, and peace.
