Julie A. Agugiaro, MA, LMHC (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Rhode Island with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, teens, college students, adults, families, and seniors. She holds a Master of Arts in Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy and has advanced training in EMDR and The Flash Technique.

Julie supports individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, and stress and burnout. Her approach is integrative and holistic, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, EMDR, expressive arts therapy, somatic-based techniques, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, and Emotional Freedom Technique.

She is especially passionate about intermodal expressive arts therapy, incorporating creative processes such as art to help clients explore their inner experiences and gain deeper self-awareness. Julie also values the role of spirituality in healing, helping clients access inner strengths and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Julie is known for her warm, empathetic, and insight-oriented style. She creates a supportive, relaxed, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions openly. Her goal is to help individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered in their journey.

Clients working with Julie often experience increased focus on self-care, greater insight into their experiences, and a deeper connection to themselves. She works best with individuals who are open to reflection and curious about their personal growth.

Julie finds it deeply meaningful to witness the growth and transformation of her clients and considers it an honor to be part of that process.

Outside of her clinical work, Julie enjoys engaging in creative projects and continuing to explore the role of creativity in healing.
