Ashley E. Marzullo, MA, CAGS, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving clients across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Alaska, Maine, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Utah. She holds a Master’s and CAGS in Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College and brings 15 years of experience supporting adolescents, college students, and adults through life’s most challenging and transformative seasons.

Ashley specializes in trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief (including pet loss), relationship concerns, life transitions, stress and burnout, and both women’s and men’s issues. She works with individuals navigating divorce, domestic violence, mood disorders, self-esteem struggles, and the complex phases of growth that often accompany high achievement and major change. At the heart of much of her work is the understanding that unresolved trauma frequently shapes present-day patterns.

Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. Ashley is deeply warm, curious, and unconditionally supportive, while also being thoughtfully direct when needed. She believes therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where clients can begin wherever they are. Sessions are guided by what feels most present in the moment, allowing clients to move freely through the “circle” of their lives at their own pace.

Clients can expect progress to feel gradual and non-linear — often a series of ups and downs that eventually lead to greater stability, insight, and resilience. Ashley provides accountability wrapped in compassion, balancing unconditional positive regard with meaningful, in-the-moment reflection. Her goal is to help clients make sense of their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more aligned, grounded, and free.

She especially enjoys working with individuals who are new to therapy and unsure where to begin, as well as those who are insightful and seeking deeper clarity. Her ideal clients are curious about why they think and feel the way they do, motivated to create change, and open to both growth and acceptance where change is not possible.

Ashley is passionate about guiding people through confusing and painful phases of life with warmth, steadiness, and genuine care — helping them feel understood, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
