Hi, I’m Yesileth De Leon (Yesi), an LMHC in training, currently attending Rhode Island College in a Mental Health Clinician Program. I am a bilingual Latinx counselor who brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the therapeutic practice. I strive to create a warm, caring, and positive environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood, using a person-centered approach that acknowledges everyone’s uniqueness.
I bring valuable experience supporting diverse populations, including families with children on the autism spectrum, individuals with anxiety and depression, survivors of domestic abuse and PTSD, families navigating developmental, behavioral, and social challenges, and at-risk families requiring comprehensive support. As a former Family Care Community Partner (FCCP), I utilize the Wraparound Practice model, which emphasizes family voice and choice in the therapeutic journey.
My therapeutic approach is informed by training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness meditation, Grief counseling, and domestic violence. My holistic approach recognizes the interconnected nature of mental health, family dynamics, and social systems.
